Lance Armstrong was busted by dozens of witnesses in a federal investigation.
As for El G case, I dont remember a similar investigation opened by Morocco Officials, or Morocco justice, or WADA.
And I don't remember athletes, officials or teammates saying that El G was on something.
Remember that for some coaches, 3:26 is not an unbeatable record. Many people thinks that 3:24 is the limit.
Even Mo Farah thinks that he's capable of 3:26.xx

Renato, I disagree with your arguments that El G was clean and here's why: El G ran faster than any of those guys many times, only Asbel comes close with his PR this last summer. El G was super consistent, no elite miler has been that consistent recently besides Morceli who I also think was a severe doper. Many other top Moroccans have been busted, so why is their best guy clean? Also El G wouldn't run 800s, many think this had to do with hiding doping. The Moroccan athletic system is rigged for doping and its in the culture of the country, proven by many positives from their athletes. Why did he retire when he was still the best in the world? seems to me he had too much to risk by continuing to dope and compete, rather play it safe and retire as the greatest. This was right at the time the test for EPO came into effect, although it was still easily beatable.
I don't know any elite American distance runners who thinks El G was clean.

The lack of 800's by El G is very suspicious....lack as in ZERO races run at 800. None even as tune-ups to championships. Leads me to believe his 800 best would not have been sub 1:44. That his 800 PB would have been suspiciously close to his last 800 of a 1500.
Also, he retired at his peak - didn't Flojo do that?

Plenty of people retire at their peak. How many top 1500m runners are there currently over the age of 32? Why would El G want to risk ruining his incredible winning record by competiting in events that he wasn't the best at or after he started aging?

Rupp has raced more 800's than El G ever did.

He was super consistent because he was the best in the world you moron, when he retired he wasn't best in the world, Lagat was with 3:27.40. His best unofficial time at 800 was 1'42 as well - he had a long career of 12 years as a professional, pretty big risk if you ask me. Face it, he was clean, not one failed test in his whole career, he is simply the goat.

He won a gold medal at the 5000m. He also lost twice in the 5000m. How is that not exploring his potential?
And why does he have to run an 800m if he's not an 800m runner? Why is this suspicious to you? Plenty of people only run 1-2 events in their professional career. What Rupp does is rare. Perhaps if Rupp stopped running all of these different events then he'd actually have a gold medal or a world record.
Yeah that's got to be one of the dumbest litmus tests for doping, not having ran the 800. On the other hand, it must be that if he went and jogged an official slow 800 then that would clear things up for you.
