Not true that this is first time two Americans in WY 1500 boys finals. A quick check of IAAF site shows it happened in 2001 in Hungary. Got 8th and 12th in finals.

Is this seriously on the front page? It was a prelim and they beat one Kenyan between the two. And that Kenyan still qualified!!

Its good running, good to be in the final of a World Championships.

Sad thing is, the Kenyan men, err I mean boys will probably come out and run close to 3.40 in the final. Remember John Yego aka Belal Mansoor Ali ran 3.36 from the front in the first ever world youths when he was aged about 25? (competed in the Kenyan Olympic trials in 2000 as a 21 year old).

Watching that video, Grant looks like he has a similar form to Centro. Not a bad form to imitate if that's the case. He certainly has a strong kick considering were he was with about 300 to go.

I'm sure these US kids are on PEDs - either epo, amicar, test or blood-doping. Our kids cannot compete with Africans, this was settled in 1968 when Keino beat Ryun in Mexico City. We need PEDs

This is the second post in a row I have clicked on today that you have accused all American high school kids of being on EPO. It's a shame that these forums are anonymous. If I were these kids parents I would sue you for slander.

I agree it will be tough, but Grant actually outkicked Biwott in that semi. Biwott faded in the last 30m or so and did not look very good for a guy who has 10 sec on everyone else's PRs.
