Marathon shorts that will hold 4-5 gels?

teach your body to use fat as fuel by getting faster and faster at an aerobic HR and you'll never need a gel again. Until then, Raceready shorts!

I will try the brooks ones, thanks. And yes race ready sucks. Look at their market, you, who keeps mileage on shorts. Lol

Marathons only give out gels around miles 17-18. So i plan to bring my own preferred gels.

I was going to say, trying to get 200-300 calories an hour is pretty reasonable. If you prefer getting that through gels rather than through sports drinks (or you've actually experimented and found what works for you and what you can stomach), carrying 5 isn't crazy. And yeah, marathons often have gels at one or two places, but they're often later than would seem ideal.

Another vote for these. Those little side pockets are small enough that a gel or whatever inside won't bounce around, and the velcro keeps anything from bouncing out but is still easy to open up while running. With those two side pockets and the usual front key pocket, you've got three. Good to go.

I have a pair of sugoi s that I wore for boston once. They were awesome. Never raced a marathon since. They have room f0r 4-6 gels in the back.
