How appropriate is the timing of Running Times Magazine where Jordan is gracing the cover and the article within is entitled "The Education of a Runner". The article goes on to state how she has learned to accept defeat. learn from it, and move on.
Did Running Times know something none of us others knew? One can write a movie about this.

He seems to be suggesting she may have taken a dive so as to create buzz (making her worth more to NIKE) with the plan to turn it around in the 5k (more buzz), right before she goes pro, rather than she was paid directly to lose.
