Well, the times for the first few finishers tend to be faster, and then you see runners running some pretty average times. The people behind them would obviously then run below average times.
The better question is what odds they would give on Lel actually starting.

It's nice to actually see Mo running in a race with some real competition (outside a Championship)
Obviously Mo has raced the best in the Worlds and Olympics the last two years, but I'm getting tired seeing Mo running glorified parades with little competition. Like last weekend in Birmingham.
I wonder if Mo knew the field was going to be as good when he signed up? The others were announced after him!?

As a person who dabbles with sports betting here and there, I am curious what kind of odds you would need to see to take the other side. I think most of the time when a sportsbook give 3:1 odds on an event they usually offer something like 1:3.5 or even 1:4 on the other side, something that would let them make a little bit of money but fairly even. If someone offered you 4:1 on Farah going under 59 would you take it? 10:1?
Unless it is a MM, when a race pays heavy appearance fees, there usually isn't a lot left over for performance incentives. This seems like one of those races where you just want to show up and win.
