RE: Alan Webb Running USATF Club nationals

Is Mrs. Webb going to be running in the event as well?

I remember a few years ago when the Boulder Running Republic women's team was all hyped up and people thought they'd challenge for the win. Looked like that worked out real well...

1. Asics Aggies

2. NYAC

3. Hansons-Brooks

Not sure about much after that. I do NOT expect much from the Boulder group. Boulder is a town of selfishness, they are not capable of putting together a real TEAM.

Glad to see Krause entered.

You might want to do a little research. Last year McMillan won by 8 points.

I see a few B squads that will challenge for the top 5...

I was referring to 2010, where they scored 29 points. Although Hanson-Brooks was closer than I remembered, scoring 59. Third was back at 175. Anyways - my point is that any of those teams I mentioned could conceivably win. Usually there is a very clear favorite or (fine) co-favorites.

Who cares, it's Alan Webb.

Stuart Eagon is entered as well. I have not heard that name in a while.

Someone is right about Sacramento Elite and Austin Ramos, something is shady there. He has been running races in New York and he is not a Pacific Association member.

If you move away from you can still run for the team you where on. You just can't hop around or join to a new team that isn't in your area.

Ramos has not been in a Pacific Association race all year so you can make your own conclusions.

Only if you competed for your previous team for at least three years. They tightened the rules recently.

Note that any club can declare any runner who is affiliated with them, but it doesn't mean that runner can actually score. Mike Scott goes through all of the entries and checks the addresses to see if they match their association.

If you think someone is suspicious, you should email Mike Scott and let him know what evidence you have so he can look into it. If people lie about their address it can be hard to catch, many of you would have a much better idea about that than meet administrators would...
