In its day , this was a premier event , best runners in the US , strong "shoe company" teams , great national class competition. At one point it was even open to foreign athletes making it world class.
Its a shame now to what its become. This posting depicts it exactly with debates about what local hero's are running or not.
Watch out for the Asics Aggies in the men's open division.
This is Hansons last year at this event in the team competition. They may send some individuals but they are done competing as a team.
Why would you want professional shoe company runners, who aren't on clubs, running in and winning the club XC national championship? There is a race for them and it is called the XC national championships.

Agree. Unless they really go off the rails the ASICs Aggies will win the open men's race by a pretty good margin.
Why crap on Pritz and not all the other hts athletes not running? Allie Kieffer, Adriana Pirtea, Tera moody (who is running a non prize money 8k this week instead) on top of athletes brad is coaching who are running for other teams (several on brc...Nicole feest for starters and some other women)? Mad that Molly Pritz runs faster than you or something?
Those of us who actually know Molly know that her mom is sick so she went home to visit (her family is from Philadelphia originally) and jumped in a race while visiting and now her mom is coming out this week to visit. Molly always puts her family first and is quite close to her mom (read NYC interviews). Way to be jerks though.
Her Mom is so sick that she is able to travel from Philly to Boulder a week later? What an amazing ability to recover. Molly has that same ability from her fake injuries.
It's amazing. Even people with cancer can fly.
Met Molly at a race several years ago, and was able to keep in touch. I have nothing but good things to say about her, hope her mom is on the road to recovery.
Rogue Athletic Club won on the women's side and are returning this year. The group has some new faces, so should be interesting to see if they can defend. I'm rooting for 'em
Best runners on the best day , idiotic for you say say otherwise , shoe company teams where registered clubs , dimwit ! National champs should be just that. Its a shame that hobby joggers are trying to comment ( you ) on the sport.

No. Club XC nationals is not about "best runners" who aren't on clubs. It's about the best runners from clubs. If you think that this race is full of hobby joggers, then why aren't you out there? Your 36-minute 10K will put you at the very rear of the race.
Do us all a favor and learn how to write before posting again. I know that our education system is failing but, my god, this is embarrassing.
