so why dont we? What is to keep a Dan Browne from finishing hhis day off with a couple of hours in the pool, injury free? Trying to keep uper body mass low, Aqua Jogger it for 3 hours after hammering 15 mile. Does the impact create fatigue beyond what a swimmer has, or are we not hungry enough as a group?
That's nothing. There were days I hade 15,000 cal before I got out of bed in the morning.
I was running hill/mountain trails where milage is pretty meaningless. I was running about 14 hours a week, roughly 30K-40K feet of elevation change a week. Peak was 76K feet over three days (barometric measure, so approximate) (that was a rare measured three-day weekend, 76 miles).
I'm pretty sure (as in - I'm 100% certain) my training was wimp compared to the real guys, though.
I wonder how many calories Lance eats. He is on his bike for four or more hours a day when training for the tour.
If I eat over 3000 calories per day for a while it seems that i'll start gaining weight and i run about 50-60 a week
Kobayashi ate 9500 calories (53 Nathan's hotdogs) in twelve minutes. Now THAT's chowing down.
i just ate my snot. i can't recommend it.
