Has anyone had success training like this? Other than Adam Goucher and Josh McDougal? I like doubles and do them when I don't have work or a long run, so like one day a week, but the rest of the week starting a run at 3 something in the morning and slogging along unlit roads (major in something good so you can work a 9-5 kids!) seems counterproductive other than for loosening my legs up a bit, if it would even do that. The way I see it is its just like 5/10 only for 15, maybe I'll extend the warmup and cooldown or maybe I'll do a regular 10 mile run and say I'm not beat, so why not a few more up until 5 or 6, or whatever. Sure you won't get 140+ training like this, but I think 110-120 is possible, enough to race a marathon.
