Effin A. I always like Laalou. Seemed like a cool guy and was a fierce competitor.
These drug busts are disheartening, as are all the athletes who skate by without being caught. At this point I'm just ready to throw in the towel and assume everyone is doping.

My apologies to all those offended. I am on a Typing Enhancing Drug (TED) and typed faster THAN usual.
Not surprising - he ran 3:30 last year, and then looked like he was running backwards in the semis. Now with testing for autologus blood doping, dopers are being pushed into a corner even more.
I never even knew that diuretics could give you a performance boost. Does anyone know how much of a difference it could make? I'm a doctor and thought furosemide was only useful for people with high blood pressure or problems with edema etc. I would think that a healthy person taking it would actually perform worse due to dehydration.

From what I've read, it's used to flush out an athlete's system of whatever PEDs they had been using. It's not a performance boosting agent by itself, it covers the tracks.

Agreed! Where is the proof that El G is a drug cheat, just because Aouita, Boulami, his training partner, Selsouli, Laalou, Ramzi, and a host of other moroccans/former moroccans are drug cheats, why does that mean that the fastest of all of them used drugs??? Innocent until proven guilty!!1!
