Kindof a subpar performance by both Roesler and Kesselring in the 800. With Roesler coming off the PR and 4x4 leg and Kesselring the defending champ, just expected a little more. It's all about the team, the TEAM, well considering you are def gonna score TEAM points in this 800 final, run hard like you mean it and want those TEAM points. Hopefully she bounces back in the 4x4.

I would've thought the fact that she had to run a PR in the 800 and a PR split in the 4x400 before her 800 would make it LESS surprising or expected that she'd bust out a huge 800. Her PR wasn't as good as a couple of others in the field, and she'd already run better than her lifetime best twice before the final. How many races in a row do you expect the girl to PR?
Just some major props to Nachelle Mackie who has been consistently dominant this year, indoors and out, despite niggling injuries. One of the most consistent 800 runners I've ever seen (40 years) at the top collegiate level.
And she's back next year!

You were saying? A 51 split should break 2 in the 800 when tested. She's simply not an 8 runner. If all the girls like Friday and Feldman chose to run the 8 instead of the 15 she would have barely made the final. If she focused on the 4 she might go sub 51 from the blocks.

Hello? She IS training with the sprinters. She should be training with the 800/1500 runners if she wants to excel in the 8.

She trains with Johnson but does not do all the same workouts as the other sprinters. She should bail on the 8 and train just for the 4.

I guess I hoped for more than expected a better placing by both Roesler and Kesselring in the women's 800m final. Yeah maybe not another PR, but surely a higher finish could have been likely and possible...
