Hot damn the guy is a beast. 1 behind Shaheen for most sub 8s all time. AK just put him on the squad. Dont deprive the athletics world of one of the greats.

Great run by Koech.
7:54.31 as the poster above said just off the World record by Saif Shaheen of 7:53.63. Koech was all alone the last lap or he might have had it.
I got to the airport just in time to see that race.
Women's 1500m up now.
Aregawi (who??) 3:56
WOW olympic year is bringing out some serious times.
Wow.
Aregawi (2nd in Shanghai in 3:59) just blasted away from Dibaba on the last 200m to win in 3:56.54
60.76 last lap.
Uceny was 4th I think.
If the Ethiopians are willing to have one of them rabbit the final they might get 2 of the medals.
Thats a 3sec PR for her. Pretty impressive. Uceny was 4th right around 4:01.
blasted away from Dibaba and Obiri (in the last 120 anyway).
Uceny looked good, but was just too far back. When the camera showed a wide shot with the leaders at ~200m out, you could see Uceny just blowing past the rest of the field. IDK her final time, but I'd guess 4:01.xx?
Aregawi....WTH?! Looks like the Ethiopians figured out they can run middle distances, too!

I'm betting Koech, Kipruto, Kemboi. Although after today's 8:10 Kemboi is definitely going to need to get 1 or 2 at Kenyan trials and show fitness. Doubt it will be a problem for him.
WC is going to be sick.
Nice A (8:21) for Nelson, too.

What!? They don't need a rabbit to win 2 medals.
Fantu VS Pamela for the gold at 800 meters....Fantu has no idea how to race, but her talent is insane. Great win for her and another Ethiopian National Record. Looks like Ethiopia picking it up at 800 and 1500 at about the perfect time.
1 AREGAWI Abeba ETH 3:56.54 WL,MR,NR
Results say World Leader, Meet Record, and NR. Is that a national record? Seems a little slow for an Ethiopian , but wow. Congrats to her.
1 Abeba Aregawi 3:56.64 PB
2 Helen Obiri 3:59.68 PB (world indoor 3000m champ)
3 Genzebe Dibaba 4:00.685
4 Uceny 4:01.59
...
Congrats to
PB STELLINGWERFF Hilary of Canada
4:05.08 in 8th so that's an "A" standard (4:06.00 is standard)

Uceny 4:01:59
Looking very strong(a little leaner than last year too I thought?). Worked well over the last lap to close in for 4th.
She id definitely the one to beat at trials

Thats a Canadian A+ Standard too, so she should be good to go.
Uceny was way back at the half. How many races has she run this year? She ran damn close to her PR of 4 flat yet had a lot left at the end. Looked good.
Ethiopians have two 20 years olds running 3:57! Hot
Updates on the 5k?
Womens 5k - 3k split 8:49.....Slower than they wanted of 8:45 but a bit of tactics being played.
Burka, Defar, Cheruiyot all together. Burka leading because she needs a time standard.
1k to got. 8 women all together. Still 3min per k pace.
