That video proves two things:
1. There were television cameras at the meet, and yet no one has come forward with complete videos of the races in question (1500, 3000, 10K).
2. The meet also featured a national record in the 100 meters, by .16 seconds, no less.
I'll let you weigh those pieces of evidence and what they say about the legitimacy of the performance by the Chinese women's distance team. I completely agree that it would have required a conspiracy to shorten the track, start from the wrong line, fiddle with timing, etc. I don't see, however, how that's any different than systematically falsifying the ages of Chinese gymnasts. Chinese athletic institutions don't exactly have a squeaky clean reputation.
