About 3:30 in, the lead pack and chase pack were starting to form (a few seconds difference). Hall was at the very back of the chase pack and it looked to me like he was about to fall off. I'm surprised to hear that he was still with them at 4 miles. He finished about 5 seconds behind Castille, the 1st place masters finisher.

Completely agreed. It also looks like he's paying a lot more attention to running his best at the right time this year, judging by that recent interview. That bodes well for him. He works out at track near my house, and his crew has definitely been doing some serious work this spring.
At the awards ceremony they had the winners and then Hall and Meb got on stage afterwards. Hall said he wasnt feeling too good and that he felt flat during his run and most likely went out a little too hard. He spoke about london and how the course there is primarily flat and he has to work on not getting out too hard and killing himself, but at the end of the day he has to reflect on what happened. I can't blame him, but he left after his speech, while Meb stuck around for pictures and autographs, would've been nice to get Hall also. I was lucky enough to get both from Meb fighting the mad middle aged women to get to him -______-..being the only 21yr old male college athlete there...

Collis Birmingham, Adrian Blincoe, Ben St. Lawrence and Bobby Curtis has to be one of the better training groups in the world that isn't manufactured by a shoe company.
30:10 is 2:07 pace...I can understand if he ran a half-marathon at that pace, but a 10k? I guess Hall knows what he is doing so I will just keep an open mind.
A sub 60 half marathon runner not breaking 30 minutes is a little odd.
Also, what the hell happened to Hall's hair. He looks like a clown.
