Symmonds is hard to root for. Something about him, his attitude, his stupid division 2 or 3 school, his stiff arm running motion, his shortness... It's just everything, his whole aura sucks. He is lame.

That's why I am rooting for Robby Andrews to make a small jump and become the guy! Obviously the new hack coach at UVA isn't going to get Andrews there so hopefully he goes pro or leaves school or something... But make a damn decision soon!

moral obligations are relative - don't impose your system on others or else you will have no argument against other imposing their system on you.

example: "stuck withh match.com" has made so many erroneous and inflammatory comments on these boards it is her moral obligation to never visit this site again.

Dude isn't recruited out of high school, goes D3, becomes 2 time runner up and 4 time winner of the 800 at USAs with every likelihood that he will do it again this year. Now he's fighting for sponsorship, i'm still a fan.

Maybe this tattoo thing seemed a bit misleading but the guy stated himself that he knew what might happen. Plus this is one meet, i'm sure he'll promote it and show it off at later points. And as someone mentioned, this sponsor is now still getting press even though we couldn't see him. Win/win.

I don't understand why the match.com guy hates Symmonds so much....according to his standards, he's pretty much the nick symmonds of the letsrun message board...doing everything he can to get a little attention. Yet he's not getting paid for it!

He was at the annual OTC dinner 2 weeks ago (most likely required) with the rest of his teammates and they guy looks like he is just held against his will. Won't smile or really have a conversation, looks visibly upset for being there. Just an overall weird attitude.

For someone interested in making a living and promoting the sport to make a living. It's a weird avenue to take.
