I doubt it's common knowledge to ANYONE who has been to a Costco, as very few nonrunners know who Hall is. But it is nice to walk into a store like Costco and see a track and field athlete right in front.
In Sam's. Looking at TVs. Oh it's a runner on the box-cover. Wait isn't that Ryan Hall? Cool.

I just figured out why Vizio TV's suck...They run on faith.
I did a double take when I saw his picture on a box in the check out line at Costco. Funny, because the next TV size up had Katie Couric on it..seemed like a funny combo...

Me too. Obviously Vizio isn't even common knowledge.
Not really strange for him to be sponsored by a TV company. best all time sponsorship in track and field has to be back when Bud Light sponsored some athletes and meets.
I was actually really surprised to see his image on the vizio tv's when i went to Costco recently
Vizio makes a great product, I own two of them. And if you haven't heard of them, you should soon. Based on volume, they are now the largest LCD TV manufacturer in North America.
I saw the tv boxes with Ryan on the front in Walmart last month as well.
This Quote was from Steve Prefontaine and Hall didn't say that he runs best when he is free. He is Copying Prefontaine and thats not right. Pre was a better runner and deserves his credit.

If it wasn't for Ryan Hall, professional running would be dead. No non-shoe company would want so-and-so African plastered on the side of their box. Unfortunately true.
