From iaaf.org Lisa Koll (Uhl) ran 15:39.65 in 2010 which is still her indoor PB. I'm also thinking that Barringer ran faster, but there might be an eligibility question - can't remember the exact reason it wasn't included.

Searching through the tfrrs.org archives, it looks like Lisa Koll ran 15:29.65 at the 2010 ISU Classic. Not sure why it isn't included in the all-time list (illegal track?), but in any case Debbie Maier's 15:29.24 is better.

I checked and Koll ran 15:29 in 2010 (leading the entire race), Barringer didn't run 5000 in 2009.

Uhh, Barringer ran 15:01 which is the collegiate record by a LOT.

So Barringer 15:01, Meier 15:29 and Koll 15:29 all were on oversized tracks.

But if you include the oversize tracks, the updated all-time "best" list would be... Barringer, Kim Smith, Sonia O’Sullivan, Sally Kipyego, Maier and Lisa Koll.

I just watched the video. Looked like Hasay went out too hard with Kipyego. Maier dropped her like a bad habit about 800 to go and Bonds ran a chickenshit race, passing her at the line. If Hasay would have run 15:30 pace instead of 15:15, she would have finished stronger.

I like this philosophy and apply it to all sports. Any time a basketball team doesn't heave the ball before getting to half court I know they are cowards. When a quarterback doesn't throw a hail mary towards the end zone every first down play, total bitch game plan. I have always associated intelligence with the pussification of our culture and it's good to see people like you identifying it. Personally I laugh at all the bitches that beat me in the mile each track season with their even pacing; even though I run 59 for my first lap and then crawl home in 6:20, at least I know I ran with courage, unlike them.
