It will be interesting to hear what happened, but don't lose sight of 1) A new AD; Bubba Thornton 2) Coach Craddock has been rumored to retire any year now and he was extremely close to Baddour, the old AD.

Craddock went from UVA to UNC so he shouldn't be too surprised when someone does the reverse.
For Watson, maybe a little more money, he probably will coach fewer athletes (and only one gender it sounds like), more scholarship money going to middle and long distance at UVA than UNC, and of course, getting to coach Robby Andrews, an NCAA Champ and Olympic hopeful, could certainly raise Watson's profile in the coaching profession.
He left UNC a lot better (especially on the men's side) than when he arrived.
He definitely left it better, but to me this should be a tremendous learning opportunity for the families of high schoolers who were either being recruited or were considering these schools. For those HS juniors, this is a great reminder that you need to select the school first and the coach second, because there are no guarantees and transferring won't solve the problem.
Great post. How many kids/parents did Watson promisethat he's be at UNC forever? High school guys need to be aware. Pick a school first. Coaches, and especially YOUNG coaches jump ship often.

I think they just renovated a pretty small place, but still...
I would think he would want to stay in Carrboro. It seems to fit his image very well. Carrboro is VERY kind to Hipsters and weirdos. I know Charlottesville is rather progressive as well, but he won't be quite as popular.
I think he will miss Carrboro. I am not sure he made the right decision. Still, he could be making a lot more money, so if that is the case, good for him.
I just hope the UVa runners don't start coming on here making all sorts of nonsense posts. It is not a credit to the program when runners (or fans?) do that. Let your running do the talking.
The same goes fo Pete himself, I hope he does not post on here. It is really a no-win situation to post anything.
