Felt a bit beat up from the Christmas Eve 22-miler.
Same here. Decided to switch my LR to yesterday instead of today so I can enjoy most of the day w/family. Will probably do 6-8 today.
Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays everyone.
I feel ya. I've had mono for about 8 weeks and all I want to do is get out and run.

Not only is it Christmas, it is SUNDAY.
The entire nation of Kenya is NOT running (or wasn't when it was Sunday there).
Bernard Lagat is NOT running. Lawi Lalang is NOT running. Sally Kipyego is NOT running. Vivian Cheruiyot is NOT running.
Why do YOU have to run today?
I love running. Why wouldn't I do it on Christmas? It'll only take ~1 hour anyway.
Got to try out my new Garmin GPS watch this morning. pretty much killed it for 8 miles since i haven't been able to run since thursday
A quick 4 to the top of Coyote Ridge in Ft Collins, then back for lunch and movies. Beautiful day!

I ran 14 trail miles in my sandals I made from knobby mtb tires; hammered the hills best I could. Felt great and tied up a nice 55 mile week.
Chugged around the neighborhood for 4-3/4, just happy to be able to run that far at this point.

0 miles today. I've been running high mileage lately and haven't gotten quite enough rest, so I've got a pretty bad cold.
16.1 longrun this morning at 5:45, 34 degrees and clear
8 miles, easy. Only moments peace all day. It's why I run.

Sorry to hear that. I recently quit running because I couldn't take the pain anymore (early arthritis in both knees, broken up hips from car-bike collision). Finally decided I couldn't take wondering if any misstep would be my last.
I hope your pain stops soon!
ran just over 9 miles, hilly and snowy course.
American men regularly now run sub 13 5k and sun 27 10k but marathons stuck at 2:07. What gives?
