Are today's 12-28 year olds the worst generation the U.S. has ever seen?

The Baby Boomers raised today's 12-28 year olds in their image and provided us with the smooth, efficient, and debt-free country we have today. I don't know if we will ever give them enough credit!

I have seen nothing that bears this out. My sons are 15 and 19 and I know most of their friends pretty well. I've done a lot of coaching in the past dozen years. These kids are good people who I like and respect for the most part. Are there a few jerks in the mix? Probably, but that's true for any age group.

Most Americans -- of any age -- have allowed themselves to sink into a hallow existence that knows no dignity or shame. For those keeping score: the dark side is winning.

The answer to the OP is; yes. 12-28 year olds are definitely the worst generation. And the best... Just like the generation before them. And the generation before them. I work with these kids everyday. They continually shock me with their good and bad qualities. They don't know their history and they are foolish enough to think they can change the world. So they just might. Good for them.

Nah, definitely not, had to click reply to someone though! When I said "you" it was referring to whoever was willing to call out "my" generation.

To other person...I'm not exactly sure what you are saying...but I threw in the atheism stuff because that's what I always here when regarding why the youth are so terrible.

no, not at all. morals have nothing to do with fairy tales living in the sky at all.

All generations are exactly the same - only their circumstances change. Some gens. get the opportunity to be in the spotlight (eg 'Greatest' Gen) most don't. Some get the chance to be spoilt brats (Boomers) some don't. And so it goes.

you just had to use the word "compression" huh? now i want to head over to the nearest running store and find some socks. FWIW i think my generation is just sick of the hypocrisy that is prevalent throughout the world. perhaps we haven't just accepted that and are still naive but why say that we are the worst generation the U.S. ever saw? perhaps by older standards of morality we may seem corrupt but hasn't society been in this kind of slide since the nineteenth century?

Where are we gonna go? Europe (yea, things are pretty sweet there right now). Maybe Latin America - better known for their economic stability. How about China - individual liberties abound there. Yes, you are right. It's so much better elsewhere. I'm packing my bags now.
