You really do not know what you are talking about. First, see the attached image. Goucher has always been more muscular than the typical 5000m runner. So your whole theory about mileage is nonsense. Second, your statement that Goucher has no speed is pure speculation. You have no personal knowledge as to why he had a poor performance in that 1500m. Lastly, despite his many setbacks over the last few years, I seriously doubt that he will "hang up his spikes by 2005."
Only Goucher knows when he will move on. It is obvious from your post that you have no personal knowledge about Goucher and that you are simplying guessing.
