I bet this guy was a coach. It just doesn't read like an athlete to me. This is the time of year coaches who did not get their recruits do things like that. Either way this is not correspondance with a recruit. This is a advertisement. Even student-athletes can't post advertisements. I read this as a violation. It's going to be thought of as a minor but it's still a violation.

Exactly. Its pretty obvious that only a few (or possible one person with different names), doesn't believe this is a violation.
Go as your compliance officer about this and you will be told right away it is a violation and can't occur. I'm surprised the originator of the post has not asked for it to be removed yet.

sounds like the school probably sucks anyway. one of those crappy DI athletic programs that try to promote themselves as the big time. what good program needs to get the word out on recruiting on let's run dot com. 18:30 girls and 16:30 guys aren't going to get it done. why go to a school that will ALWAYS finish in the middle of the regional field just to say that you are running DI. who cares, your season will always end at the conference meet.
It is not a violation. End of story. In any case, who gives a f*** about some school advertising to give money to a sub 18:30 girl or a sub 15:20 guy?
