Virginia wins 4x800 again!

Loxsom had a nice gap on Andrews. I can't tell if Loxsom faded or Andrews just opened up a can of whoop ass over the last 200m

I don't understand why loxsom didn't just sit on andrews. Andrews took the lead and slowed down the pace over the first 200m, and then Caz went around to pick it up, when caz has 45.x 400m speed. Andrews in a 800/1500 when caz is a 400/800 and caz forced the pace... I don't get it. Maybe he thought Andrews wasn't fit enough to run 1:46... and Preble was looming with 45.x 400m speed of his own, but still.. feel like he should have won this race if he let andrews do the work.

I think he was going for the record.

You don't sit around when you are going for a record.

Loxsom didn't sit Andrews because he has no top gear. He has to kill him off before the final straight. Andrews is no fitter, but has two more gears to shift when Cas is maxed out. If Loxsom could figure out how to properly swing his arms through he might develop a finish.

This relay was bursting with Jersey awesomeness. Johnson, Andrews, and the mastermind Vig.

The Great Garden State once again proves to be the center of the track universe.

Because (1) Andrews is still coming off a layoff, Cas probably thought he couldn't touch 1:46.xx (2) Andrews kicks like a mofo, you don't want him near you at the end.
