At the beginning of summer 2009 I was coming off the best track season of my life. Tried running doubles every day that summer to take things to the next level. Got injured, and missed all of 2010 track season. In 2011 I have been healthy (knock on wood) and have gotten back to the level I was at 2 years ago. Could I be pushing the envelope more? Yes, but I would like to just get through this track season uninjured. After a year of frustration I'm allowing myself the luxury of running at a manageable level without pushing it too much.
In about 6 weeks my summer starts and I'll give it another try to push things to the next level. Hope I stay healthy.
