13:29 in April - followed by a 14:22 21st place finish at NCAAs. Nothing against Heath - he's a huge talent but my overwhelming impression is that the Stanford guys have performed better in the early part of the season and often seem done come championship time.

Just throwing this out there. Deriba Merga ran his first 5k of the RAK half marathon in 13:37 yesterday. OOF!

Anyone know why Derrick didn't run? Would hate for him to be coming off an injury second year in a row.

Derrick is so finished as the MAN at Stanford! He wont be able to beat Heath anymore. Another young talent has been wasted at Stanford.!! grrrrrr.

Pretty great 3000m 1-2 finish for a couple of Minnesota guys....Winona's Elliot Heath and Stillwater's Ben Blankenship. Blankenship had a great Big Ten and NCAA.
