You don't need to add "slow" running. You need to add easy running. The really good runners do an awful lot of quality running because it's still a relatively small(ish) portion of their overall mileage.

That doesn't make sense.
Anyway, there are certain other things that, you should add, such as running fast when you are tired and depleted, and then adding a very fast sprint finish.
Depends how good you wanna be.
