Renato may say coaching is an art, but he knows TONS about the science. Any of use who saw him last weekend would know that for sure.

Renato wrote a book on advanced marathoning for the IAAF. If still available, it is likely available from them, but it might be in Italian.
Maybe somebody here who is into marathons might know about Renato's book. I'm a D1 coach only so I don't give a damn about marathons.
