she super said bib
The interviewer said she was 5th in her regional with 5 on her bib. Wouldn't 5 on her bib mean she was 6th her regional?

I'll help you out with your reading comprehension.
Moron thought Nacouzi's 3rd place was evidence that she didn't need her coach or team practice.
Those more familiar with Nacouzi's talent and the Montgomery coach would argue that had she showed up to practice and been coached by Val Sell she would have not only won a state title but also gotten 2nd at Footlocker (No way could she have won). As she chose to do her own thing, she has no state title and a 3rd place at Footlocker instead.
Nacouzi and Lakowske are both a little "off". Nacouzi couldn't stand still during pre race introductions, looking like an ADD whack job. Lakowske seemed very out there during her post race interview and from what my friends tell me, she was VERY weird during her college visit.
I guess it's a good thing they can run fast....
Have either of these two verballed to a D 1 school?I guess the "final straw" for Nacouzi not being able to run HS this season was when she showed up for a league meet and ran in the boys race without approval or knowledge of her coach.I hope the college coach's know what they're getting.
one the funniest videos you will ever see/hear......after the colorado state championships.....Kelsey Lakowske
Definitely NOT Naocouzi, totally not her style.
Julie was injured all fall. to stay in shape she cross trined on her bike rather than stand around and do nothing at practice. If I were her coach, this would have definitely been my approach. Her Coach also gave her unexcused absenses when she was at the Doctors after school checking on her injury. In my opinion, a different coach could have changed this whole senario for the better.
This girl is a riot. I hope she continues being fast, if only so that we can continue to watch these epic interviews.

I might add that she was injured all this time and her coach wanted her to stand around practice rather than cross train on her bike, "brilliant". Coach also gave unexcused absences when she went to see Doctor about injury. This could have been handle in a much more common sense way. My vote is definitely on Julie's side as opposed to her coach.
Wrong twice, NOT Nacouzi and the word was Bib 00, jeeeez.
I totally disagree. I know both of them and while there was fault on both sides. Julie's cross training on her bike during injuries and being not excused from practice when she had a Doctor's visit sked. for the injury would have been a much better approach. I certainly don't agree that Val Sell's coaching would have improved her time's at foot locker. They were much worse last year at both races under Val's Coaching.
Julie Showed up for her school meet and was advised by her vice-principal she could not run with the girls. She was not expecting this and asked if she could then run at the back of the boys race. The Vice-principal's only instructions were to not let her run with the girls so he had no objection. Starting behind the boys, she still tied her PR for the course. To Say that this whole situation with her coach and school officials was handled in an extremely heavy handed manner is a giant understatement. Julie's just a very shy kid who loves to run. Her biggest problem is overtraining.

Girl is a basket case, but she seems pretty smart. Check out her interests in her footlocker profile. Drawing, playing music, herpetology? Cross country was founded on the weirdness of its competitors. Who gets up at 6 o'clock on a Saturday to get in an easy ten or hammer out a few mile repeats? Not sane people.
Does anyone know if Kelsey is still being coached by Melody Fairchild?

I would love to meet that girl
No question it was bib, be serious.
Julie Nacouzi is a troubled young woman. Talented and tough competitor but also waaay out of balance. Remember her 3rd place finish today. She will not be heard from on the college scene.
