OP. Tear it up on behalf of everyone who posted in the thread so far. Your first drink should be a downed pint of your favourite beer.
If you have any Irish blood in you, make it a pint of Guinness.
I guess you'll have to figure it out for yourself, but drinking to get wasted is one of the most boring things you could possibly do with your time.. and you sacrifice the next day for a fleeting buzz.
Here's what I recommend: have one celebratory shot when you arrive. follow that up with a beer. maybe have a couple more beers the rest of the night. It's all about getting a little buzz and maintaining. That's alcohol's big deceit - the buzz only gets so good. More drinks = diminishing returns.
