    Used to run the same race every year -- great prizes.

    Won a year's membership to the local Y one time. Won a weekend getaway at the Marriott another year.

    Then they dropped it from a 5 miler to a flippin' 5k and tossed all the good prizes. Now it's fruit baskets and crap like that. Ah well. Fun while it lasted.

    I once won a race that was going on the same weekend as a fishing tournament and they gave me one of those singing fish plaque things you hang on your wall. Coolest. Trophy. Ever.
