What a stupid post - even by letsrun standardsso basically you are saying that you heard that stern did what others had done before him. let's accept that what you heard is actually true, which is a huge stretch... who cares? is there something preventing others from doing what stern does? of course not, he is smart, entertaining and good at what he does; he has the dough and popularity to prove it too

I used to lsiten to NPR but can't take stomach it much anymore. Too pretentious, monotonous, and predictable.

On the other hand nothing to me is more unlistenable than 4 unfunny people on "The Bob and Tom Show" try to be the one that laughs the loudest at the lamest joke. But listening to the guy on NPR who repeats "Morning Edition" all over and talks as slowly as possible isn't much better.

Neither are the psuedo-eggheads who laugh loudly at Michael Feldman's little puns (if that's still on). They just want to make sure everyone knows their smart enough to understand the joke.
