The pacemaker was the catalyst for the chaos, fair to say had she done her job and dropped BEFORE they caught her it likely wasn't going to happen, and certainly not in that fashion.

I really think there should be a small claims court set up at meet for bad rabbits. People are being damaged because of the rabbits, shouldn't they have right to recover damages for that?

Uceny ran up on Jelegat and clipped her, which set them both off balance, then Burka put a slick move on Uceny to squeeze by her. Uceny was forced to slow down or maybe was just off balance, Dobriskey stepped on her, and Uceny fell hard. Dobriskey recovered but pushed another runner into Pierce. Wurth Thomas was right behind Dobriskey and tripped on the fallen Uceny. Rowbury had to hurdle the fallen Pierce.

Think it's fair to see that it wasn't any one person's fault, but a series of small incidents ended up causing one huge one.

Just one of those things. Although the pacemaker needs a bit of a slap.

Uceny had almost pulled even with Jelagat when Jelagat decided to cut in from lane 2 to the inside of lane 1. That caused the initial stumble then Burka pushed straight through Uceny just as she was recovering and sent her to the ground. They both need to be DQed for their dirty racing. Burka has a history of this kind of stuff.

Thats how I saw it, but I think it all began when runners had to suddenly move out to lane 2 to get around a rabbit who's brain was, well, dead. From there they were all readjusting when the wheels began to fly off.

If that was a clean race Dobriskey wasn't going to be near second. If you mean she could have finished second in that bumper car race if she'd stayed clean, who cares? There was a winner to that race and that was all that counted. After that it was all luck.

Ran up on the girl in front of her & then was all over the place. Nobody cut in on her.

The replay is where you really see it.

They had passed the fading leader 60m earlier.

McKuckles, the gal who she "ran up on" had just cut in front of her without enough room to do so.

And yeah, it was all cause and affect from the rabbit who made the entire field suddenly have to move around her while they were trying to be in position to kick. You throw a wrench into a bunch of grinding gears, it may take a few second before you see the damage.

The commentators were spot on, which is why they are paid to do it and you are not paid to be an noodle brain.

I know Uceny is a bit of a greenhorn on the euro circuit but she should have stiff armed that snutch who cut right in front her and lept her like a speed bump. How does that bird not get dqd?

Can we enforce a runners education course for diamond league competitors? Can't pass the test, not allowed on the open track. There has been some utter nonsense from rupps trip up, kaki's 800 and this womens 1500.

According to the announcers...who offered the information up BEFORE the race....Belete was a pacemaker.

I have to agree with BigTex, I think it all started with Burka. It's true Uceny clipped Jelegat in front of her, but both looked to be recovering when Burka not only cut Uceny off, but gave her shove that caused Dobriskey to clip Uceny and send her sprawling. It's probably true things would have been less crazy if the rabbit had just stepped off, but who knows? Maybe Burka was making up for this:
