Honestly, from the way you write & the awful things you say, if I was your coach, I'd WANT YOU TO QUIT & run unattached! Sheez.
Nobody wants a know-it-all on snot on the team. Just because you come on this website doesn't make you an expert on running.
I'm SURE your coaches know what they're doing. I'm SURE they read books, go to clinics, take classes, watch videos, etc. I'm SURE they care about their athletes too.
Most importantly, I'm SURE they probably don't want you on the team...if you're going to act the way you are.
Go try training on your own, Pre! Good luck!
Seriously "Another HS Coach"? I sure as hell wouldnt want you as my coach with a bitter old fart attitude like that. The kid has every right to question crappy coaching. Hard on hard followed by tempo is a recipe for injury for a HS Kid and I am sure you know that. You are sure about all of that sh*t because ...? You have no more knowledge of the situation than the kid may have about training. Get off his ass. Coaches like you make me ill anyway.
To the OP. Its really not much of an option. My advice is to suck it up an tough it out. Not running w your team raises a lot of red flags with college coaches. Be "sick" certain days if you have to (and run on your own). Find a way around it.
