100x400?? u are a wimp.
Zatopek used to run 50x400 carrying his wife on his back. When the elephant landed on his back the last couple of miles he was ready for it.
Needless to say he did win the olymara. And the 10k. And the 5k.

He quit after the second 400. Something about retaining his Haitian citizenship and looking forward to the Winter Olympics in curling.
Rexing has been spotted doing 100x400 in 60sec.
Later today, I'm heading out for 4 X 21K at 1:01:30 each, with a :45 recovery between, 6 mi. warmup and 6 mile cooldown. On concrete. With a headwind. While smoking. In Earth Shoes three sizes too small.
Rexing has slept walked 100x400m all sub 60. Then he woke up and beat mark eaton from utah jazz in a chewbaca look-a-like contest.

Wimp. Quentin Cassidy wouldn't have worn shoes.

I give you an 'E' for effort
thanks. i should have waited until i had recovered from having the flu for a week.
i'll try it again next week when i am healthier.
I have to say that you did 60 at just what you were planning ... and i didn't think even that would be remotely possible. So, I have to tip my hat to you.
You know yourself better, but would it not be better to (if you must re-attempt this riciculous exercise) do this ...
25 x 400 @ 72
25 x 400 @ 70
25 x 400 @ 68
25 x 400 @ best you can muster
It seems like you can handle the 70's pretty well, but dropping from 5:00 pace to 4:40 to 4:20 seems like the wrong way to complete 100 of them at a 70 avg. Kinda' like setting out to run a marathon and avg. 5:00, but plan on ripping through miles 13-18 at 4:40 pace.
Also, that is where you blew sky high (the 65-set).
BTW, what kind of name is 'whoas'? Is it pronounced like WHOAH-ASS or 'Woes' and what does it mean?
Don't expect to hear from you since you are probably sleeping it off.
Very impressive.
It seems that you know pace.
Maybe 1 X 26(is that gallowalking?), 8 X 5K or 4 X 10K next time.
The funny thing is that if whoas does win an olymara, we'll all consider his training.
I meant 26 X 1mile
Why not just do a race rather than wasting your time trying to do this monster workout? Go out and run a 10k or something, then give us a verifiable result, and then I'll be impressed. Anybody can come on here and claim to have done some stupid, ridiculous workout; let's see you do it in a race.
