Stop trolling I was there and it was absolutely still, 85 degrees and humid as hell. Read the post about the D1 meet 45 miles away, or all the posts about how 1/3 field dropped out there and make you own conclusions.
As much as I hate Adams state give em' a break.
If I was Edwin Cruz I'd transfer. Obviously he has improved a ton under Martin butt......he without a doubt should have been on the national team. Ahonen was wayyyyyy injured for nationals, can't use their regional meet as an indicator as Ahonen was in much better condition.
Then comes outdoor, Cruz is forced to race over 20k within a couple weeks before nationals. Kid is getting used and abused. I'd be calling Wetmore right about now if I was him.
Adam's isn't choking their simply not having a good of a season as they were during xc or indoors. Loosing Braun and Medigovich hurts.
They looked dominant indoor because they were, and also because a lot of schools don't compete indoors.
Rueben is probably going to win the steeple, and they have a ton of guys left for the 5k and 1500 and Graham in the 800 as well.
I hate to admit it as not many people hate Adams more than I do, but they are probably going to score more distance points than anyone else by a long shot.
Next fall is going to be a crazy battle between them and boys!!!

It was observed at 4 mph... look it up. I have honestly never seen a forecast have winds below below 3 or 4 mph.
Wait one second now. I am sorry but I don't think that Adams can complain about the heat and humidity when they thought everything was more than fair indoors when they were running at elevation. Sorry guys but if you are going to brag when things are set up for you then you have to be willing to take it a bit when the conditions are set up better for others. I guess as I heard right after indoors all I can say is "suck it up and train harder if you want to be able to run with the best."
I don't think anyone is making excuses, just pointing out that the conditions on Thurs night were going to be very tough for athletes coming from cooler/dryer places. Look how the athletes from Washington/Oregon/Michigan did worse than their seeing as well.
The Adams State guys were the first to admit that indoors being at altitude was an advantage for them against teams coming up from sea level..thats just science!

Very fair. I felt it was just considering I was "sticking" up for them. Agreed and agreed.
The disaster continued to the end. With 4 guys in the 5k final only 8 points were scored.
They manage to qualify runners and be represented in every distance event from 800m-10,000m. I wouldn't count them out.
