look at the world record. Ridiculously even splits, even the last lap. Take the first mile fast but leave some energy. Then go all out for the next mile. German fernandez ran 4:19 then 4:15 when he went for the hs record 2 mile. All this run 30 meters fast then float 14 meters then sprint 5 meters then walk 40 meters is bull. Even to negative splits is the way to go.
