I was confused looking at Iona at their conference meet. Who did they hold out and how hard did the guys race? If it was a tempo wouldn't they be closer together? Seem a bit scattered.

Iona's 2,3,5 didnt race at conference. I think Syracuse and Iona have the two spots locked up and Providence gets 3rd and goes to nationals on points

Both Columbia and Iona ran at Van Cortland Park for there conference meets. 1,4,6,7,9 v 2,3,5,8,10 in a dual meet times. YES I KNOW that the races were different, but this still shows that CU will be closer than many think!!

I agree, since that Flotrack workout, Providence has been running shit. I've heard McCarthy's been sick but what about those other three guys, didn't his teammate Carey beat him at the Notre Dame Invite? Maybe the coach just doesn't know how to peak his guys right, because they always seem to not really hit it right until indoors. They were fifth at big east, chances of them coming back from the dead at regionals is highly unlikely.

Ahh, the Fagan days. All of three years ago ...

If anything what we saw in that Flotrack video is exactly Providence's problem. They were going way too hard for a tempo. Saying you are relaxed and being relaxed are two different things. These guys were not relaxed. Maybe they were showing off for the camera, I don't know? But I remember Mcarthy ran some ridiculous last mile like sub 4:30 or something. Cmon its a tempo.
