The point is that these will not be "really fast" until you master the 100s at near 400m pace and 200s at 800m pace. Wait till you can run a series of 200s under 29-30s. Doing 300-500s now will be nothing more than an exercise in futility. Get fast. First.

And the less speed you have, the more of those 200's you need. Lots and lots of them with fairly short recovery, 1 minute or so.
How about 45 second rests between?
