550 schools? I think the southern section alone has that many? SJS has about 140, CCS and NCS somewhere around 120. I would say that there are closer to 1100 schools that feed into the CIF finals.

Winning a track state title in CA is perhaps the hardest athletic feat to accomplish in high school

Reggie was a man among boys. He was effortless going over hurdles. Crazy thing was he hit the last hurdle. He could have broken 35!

From what I saw yesterday, Im going to say that is doubtful. The winning time today may only be 4:08.

The product from Flotrack was terrible at the state meet. The Dyestatcal site was much better. I'll be tuning to them for the finals again.

If you aren't so tired at the end that you ARE hitting hurdles on the final stretch, then you didn't run fast enough over the first 6. Just look at the 400H world record so you can see what I mean. That was about as fast as he could have gone doubling back from the 400, his rythm was almost perfect on all of them. Great run.

I agree. I was only making an observation. I think you might have read a little too much criticism into what I said. The tone of my comment was intended to be one of amazement not a crtical review. He was incredible!
