Broad Street Run - Chip Timing Deductions too large for later corrals

The race officials apparently fixed the chip time to be accurate according to both my and my friend's watches. You're right, it was initially wrong, but they fixed it within a few hours of the original posting. HOWEVER, my clock time is about 1 minute slower than my accurate chip time, but I didn't cross the starting line until 15 minutes after the start. So clock time is still wrong.

Did anyone out there not have there chip work? This is my first broad street run and i installed chip exactly per instructions. when i checked the results, i cant be found. my registration is there.

Mine did not work either. This is my second Broad Street run and I have never had a problem with chip timing before Sunday. I have heard that these chips have problems in the rain.

I believe each corral spanned 10 minutes. When registering for the race there was a drop down menu asking your expected finish time. The fasted was sub 1:00, yellow corral was 1:00 - 1:10, etc. If you didn't know this, and therefore did not enter an estimated time, then I assume they just put you in the last corral for lack of a time.

I ran for the first time and my official time was 7 minutes longer than what I timed myself at (with nike run club app). Im pretty confident with the app, anyone know why I got hit with a 7 minute penalty 😂
