X-country skiing. You have the perfect build and speed for it. I know a guy who didn't pick up this sport seriously until his early twenties and came close to making the OLY team. Of course there's no money in it. Just the glory part.
He's 6'6 light and fast. Now if only there was a sport where speed mattered but you also needed to be tall to reach for things.
.....can you run and catch at the same time kid?
otherwise stop being picky with the obscure stuff. beggars can't be choosers. My vote is also curling or maybe fencing because I'm imagining you have long arms at that height so you can poke them from further away.
Are fencers even tall cuz I totally made that up.
What's the Olympic sport with all the flags? Synchornized flag waving???
trampoline
Too tall for trampoline, I was 6'1 and I had so many back problems and balance problems, had to quit.

Switch to and train for the Marathon. It won't be easy, but with your speed and young age you may have a shot to become a great marathoner. It sounds like you are looking for the easy way out.Too bad. There are no shortcuts my friend. Anything you do that you want to be the best in will take hard work and sacrifice. Don't give up on your running just yet. It would be a dream to have your kind of speed.
Train for the 2012 marathon trials. Who knows?
really? ive thought about being like crazy and moving up to like a 10k or something
Archery. No doubt. Archery.
For what it's worth, Actress Geena Davis almost made the US Olympic Archery team once.
How much money can you make playing snooker at the top level? That seems like the sort of sport you could pick up late in life. If you have a bit of money you could also try poker out. Athens triathlon gold medalist Hamish Carter did not race his first triathlon until he was about 21. He came to it as a rower. So that could be an option. You could also try track cycling with that sort of speed. I think a lady made the podium at the Beijing olymics and was at the Athens olympics as a rower.
Easiest sport to go pro in is road racing. Just find some local 5k offering small prize money and you can win some money without being that good.
It is a rather hard sport to make a living in though.
Crew is the kind of sport you can build a passable skill set in over a few years time if you have the physical tools, which it seems you do.
I don't know how you would pick it up late in life though, talk to a local crew club (or whatever!?)
Bowling...I've made way more money bowling than any other sport.
Mountain biking is the way to go. I think everyone who has ever finished a mountain bike race has some sort of sponsorship. My cousin finishes in the 50s and 60s in races of 100 or so bikers and he has sponsorship deals with a few companies.
I would say it's a toss up between cycling and rowing. Get on a Concept2 and tell us what you can do for 500m and 2000m. Maybe you could try beach volleyball.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rebecca_Romero
Suffering from a persistent back injury, Romero retired from rowing in 2006. She later took up track cycling, and made rapid progress in her new sport, specialising in track endurance events.
She became the first British woman ever to compete in two different sports at the Olympic Games when she rode in the individual pursuit in Beijing. In winning the gold, she also became only the second woman of any country (after Roswitha Krause of East Germany) to win a medal in two different sports at Summer Games.
"While taking time out from the 2005 racing season due to a back injury, she was approached by British Cycling. She was put through a testing procedure, which found she had a high potential as a cyclist, and began training in April 2006."
yeah so i went on a concept 2 at the gym today and did 500m as fast as i could, it was easy for about 50 seconds (about a 400m) then i died hard. i did 1:29 no clue what that is, i was going at about 1:22 rate then died hard, any potential, my endurance is horrible but ive never run anything more then 250m in practice and even then big break , they say endurance is easier to gain?
1:29 is not too shabby for one of your first times on the Concept2. There are a lot of ways to "cheat" on the Concept2 since it's only so much like being out on the water, but this sounds like a solid start since you probably have terrible form and terrible efficiency.
Maybe with some training and guidance in erging, you may be a rower yet. Hm...
Work on that 2000m piece and let us know.
