I'm a big MMA fan. It's no more roided than any other pro sport. It's certainly isn't fake. It's mostly ex collegiate wresters or muay thai fighters. Current heavyweight champ, Brock Lesnar, some of you will know from his WWE days but he was a champion collegiate wrestler at Minnesota losing only a few times in his career. That and he's taken more steroids than Hogan, Ahnuld, and Stallone put together. Also, many of the old school MMA guys went over "pro 'rasslin" to make money when there was no money to be made anymore in MMA. Today MMA fighters are making bank.
Nog will kill Mir. Lesnar will kill Nog...or get tapped out in 10 seconds.

Despite enjoying--and having participated in--combat sports, MMA is pretty far down my list. For whatever reason, I like watching boxing and Judo better.
Another thing... Although the MMA guys are no doubt phenomenal athletes and very very tough, I can't shake the feeling that if they were really the best of the best, they'd be boxing, where the purses (I'm guessing) are bigger. Markets tend to sort these things out...

Big Nog vs. Lesnar will be interesting. If Lesnar was fighting Nog in his prime, Lesnar wouldn't standing a chance. Now, Nog seems a little more vulnerable and a little slower. With Lesnar's wrestling credentials, he will be tough to takedown. Nog has pretty decent boxing, so maybe he can wear out Lesnar on the feet and take him down later in the fight after Lesnar gasses. If somehow Lesnar wins, I'd love to see the UFC sign Fedor so he could clinch, trip, and arm-bar Lesnar within a round.

Nog v Lesnar should be good, assuming it happens. Fedor would destroy Lesnar, but it would be fun to watch. I still can't believe how quickly Fedor dispatched Sylvia.

I think because of the infamy of drug cheats Marion Jones and Lance Armstrong, pure sports like running and cycling are getting an undue amount of bad rap in the media. Please do not contribute to the further detriment of running and cycling by affiliating runners with doped, fake, scripted, and phony sports like WWE, MMA, NFL, UFC, MLB, NHL, Bodybuilding, etc. We have it hard enough as it is today.
