Fernandez could'nt hold a torch to Ryan Gregson

Gregson: 18 years old 3.41 1500m, 29.09 10km.... (beating olympians) Fernandez: 7.59 3km, and waaaaaay too much hype. Gregson is quite simply phenomenal, I think he will qualify for Berlin world champs next year as an 18-19 year old... thats is Cram/ Ovett-esque

I don't know the circumstances of this supposed 29:09 on the roads, but I would wager that Fernandez will be close (within 20 sec) to that in cross.

I don't think Gregson made any more of a jump than German. German went from 25th at World Cross to a 3:43/8:00 guy in the same day, then ran 8:34 with a 7:59 en route. If Gregson just ran 3:41 that means his big improvement came some 6 months after world cross, and 3 months after German. German>Gregson
