Also, Mattie Bridgmon, an individual qualifier to the NCAA meet last year at Eastern Washington has transferred to Oregon.

Well, well, well...I did go back into the archives and read all those articles around the time of the OT's. Guess what, not a single one predicted a medal for University of Oregon athletes. There was a prediction of the possibility that Nick Symmonds might medal...if he could advance into the finals. That's it, so you are full of it when you say that the Oregon newspapers were predicting medals.

OK, I can understand transferring from Dumbshit U or Bumbf*** JC to Oregon to continue with your running career. But why would you leave Harvard? There's got to be a story there.

Once you graduate from an Ivy, they dont allow you to continue your athletic career regardless if you have eligibility remainining.

That is why you always see Ivy leave graduate students transfer to a different program. For instance, Columbia sends the majority of their runners with remaining elegibility to Georgetown.

Zero is hard to accept for Ron Bellamy at the Register-Guard. I'm sure Ron will tone it down this next June.

is it five years from when you start, or 5 years of school... i.e. someone goes to school for a year drops out and then 20 yrs later comes back for an education (can they compete?) there was a d3 regional champ in that situation a few years back that was featured in sports illustrated, so I assume the rule is 10 semesters/ 5 years of school to use 4 seasons.

D3 (and D2) have different rules from D1.

umm, I don't know if you have that completely right. Because two Columbia girls who went to Georgetown, Bontz and Hendrick, both were grad students there.. so pretty sure they graduated, didn't transfer. I've heard different things about Ivy redshirting.. that it's not allowed, that it is allowed but they don't call it redshirting, that it just doesn't happen very often.. anybody know what the real deal is?

Perhaps you've heard of a runner named "Anna Willard" who went to graduate school at Michigan after graduating from Brown and won the NCAA championship in the steeple.

It's 5 yrs from when you start. Willard's case needed no appeal she was in her 5th yr and had a yr of seasons left. I realize that military, health and missions are allowed but Scherf has none of these. a doping charge wouldn't count especially since it was reduced not taken away.
