Uhhh... I used to play football and ~30-40% of the team shaved their legs. Check out the receivers/defensive backs/runningbacks during the next game you see.

Taking a digger on your bike and picking out the gravel and asphalt from your legs is one thing, but the road rash scabs yank and pull when you have hairy legs.

I ride and run. In the summer, when I ride and run, I shave. During the winters, it all grows back since I give up riding for lack of daylight.

I do it so I can get about 2 days worth of growth on my legs, then hop in bed and rub those sandpaper coated beasts against my wife. PAYBACK BABY, for all those time when she gets lazy and doesn't shave. Since I started doing that, she rarely hops in unshaven.

Don't shave your legs unless you have a legitimate reason to do this. Runners have no legit reason to shave their legs.

yeah pretty much all elites shave

I bike and run {not running right now due to achilles injury}..I bike everyday...yet I have no idea why any guy shaves his legs...when I ran my half IM everyone seemed to have shaved legs..styles come and go..I dont care who shaves their legs...but I am not shaving my legs....

Well it's a pansy sport to begin with.

Every girl is different.

I shave my legs have since highschool at first all the guys in my track club were dogin me about it, then 80% of the girls in the club said it was sexy three weeks went by and slowly but surely all the guys had shaved legs.

I was laying in bed one night with my g/f and said I'm letting my leg hair grow back (as a joke) and she said and I quote "eeeww grose please don't I think it's sexy" And she is not a runner.

Guys who are comfortable with their sexuality can do it with no worries to what other guys think... and honestly if you go about looking at other guys legs on the start line your going to get your ass kicked, because abviously your head is in the wrong frame of mind to be running a race...

For those guys who say fags shave their legs are either jealous that these guys are secure enough to shave or they are just being ass holes because I'm pretty sure any guy who does shave his legs has a girl friend who likes it.

how about shaving ur legs and ur package girls dig that more ... also when you shave ur legs ur calves look so much larger that is hott

one reason that triathletes shave their legs is that it makes the wetsuits much easier to get on and off

Instead of wasting time shaving, try running more. That's the surest way to get faster. Imagine what would happen if, instead of ten minutes a day shaving, you ran an extra mile and a half- maybe an extra 10 miles a week.

To all of you who are hating on people shaving their legs:

Don't knock it til you try it. I guess if you are going to the staring line with all of this hate for runners that shave your legs then perhaps it helps you run harder.

It does feel nice though
