Any word on who is replacing Jerry?

Anyone know Chris Solinsky's PR for 1500?
That atmosphere looked awesome with all the people outside of lane 3. Well put together.
looked pretty easy by Teg.

I second your feelings, exactly; alot of people are counting Teg out and it seems that he is doing everything right by making the Oly team and still not looking sharp; starting to round into top shape now and sharpening up with a few big meets in Europe!!! Go Teg!!!!!
I'm not counting Teg out of anything. But in last year's USATF's, he was super impressive in running multiple sub-60 laps to gain huge ground on the field. But he still wasn't sharp and got a lot better at the WC's. This season, he admittedly had a very tough time running 13:28, w/o finishing as fast as last season. It sounds like he'll have to improve a lot more, just to match last season's WC form. Can he improve at a much faster rate, when last year, he wasn't sharp at USATF's either?? It's not like the Olympics are FAR away.
The Oly 5k is not until the 20th and 23rd which is still quite a bit into the future; it looks like Teg and Schumacher have it under control. Chis seems to be laboring and not have that next gear; obviously he is not even close to where he was last year at this time. They have either miscalculated or there is some other problem!!!

Dang... That is a while off. Far as Chris, maybe it's physical. But on the other hand, it sounds like a man who had his dreams crushed a couple of weeks ago. When it's time to hurt as it is in any race, it's probably hard to turn it up, like he usually does. Understandable for sure.
Yes, for the distance runner who is not Lagat like (super-human) it is fairly difficult to run fast enough to make our team (maybe more competitive than it has been in many years, and then still be able to peak 6 weeks later!!! Webb, Solinsky, K. Robinson, and many others have not timed it real well, and I appreciate how difficult it must be. As far as Chris Solinsky being mad at Teg; please give me a break, Teg had to do whatever he could to make the team in "less that top shape" and having difficulty with a stitch. If there was anything there I believe it was simply the emotions of the moment right after the race. Chris will be fine and he will be back; he had much more success than Matt in college and he has the chance to do that "post college" also!!!

Teg did look very relaxed and comfortable the whole way; he seems to be quickly getting into top shape. Good Luck to Teg in the 3k in Stockholm!!!!
Solinsky's 1500m PR is 3:37.xx. Ran it last year a week or two after he ran 3:39.
I thought Tegenkamp looked good in that race. He looked strong and smooth, especially the last 200m, and you could tell he's still rounding those last gears into place. He probably could've ran 3:36 in a tougher, faster race, but that's exactly where he wants to be right now. A month from now he'll have all the gears in place.
Does anyone know Teg's racing schedule? Which European meets are they going to?
Jager looked really good out there...the other guys are for sure at another level, but he did look very smooth. He might have gotten Chris had he kept going.
Teg had stated after the trials that he would run a 1500 then run a 3k in Stockholm (next Tuesday). Not sure after that.
I was commenting on the trials 5000. I had no idea how the 1500 had played out. Still, I hope there is no bad blood bc both are so talented.
too bad Teg's not doing the 3k in Gaz de France. looks like it could be a pretty quick one, 7:32-7:35, right in his alley. but schumacher seems to have a racing progression for his runners. run a 15, then a 3k, then you're ready for a 5k. can probably figure teg could run 3:35/3:36 in europe sometime soon, but i'm not sure how well that will transfer to his 3k performance. in his oslo 5k where he ran 13:28, he went through 3k in ~ 7:45, so I imagine he could be ready to run a fast 3k. i think we will see 7:35 or faster out of tegenkamp, just because last year was weird because there more time between the usatf champs and the world champs, so teg had to hold off getting geared up, but now he has the right amount of time to get ready and he can go in and run a hard 3k without having to worry about peaking early. although it might not be a bad idea to run a fast 3k a couple weeks out from when the trials begin. maybe that 3k would be then.

No way, that puts his last 2k at over 14 pace. Bekele won in 13:10, if Teg was even with him at 3k (I doubt it very much) that means Bekele only closed his last 2k at 13:30 or so pace.
Did you see that hot blonde chick around the 300 mark--I went to the Great Dane with her after the race and banged her at the Concourse til 5 am.
I love Madison.
Mo Farah of England ran 3.39 on sunday in the UK Trials so hes in better shape than one of his main competitors
The tif between Chris and Matt, such as it was, was patched up the night of the 5000 race. (See Madison paper this week, I think).
This was going to be a time trial workout only until a couple of days before the race; the runners wanted official times so they scheduled is as a race. Then they get 1000 people for a one-race meet.
Several of the guys are going to Heusden (sp? where they have raced the last several years). A couple of them (Quigley?) are hoping to get into the B section of a major-meet 5000 and are on the 'waiting list'. It helps, I am sure, that the Madison crew has delivered pretty well in their travels to Europe. They are not planning on being based in Europe this summer (for instance, they were in the UK last year for a while).
I heard nothing about the coaching position except that no one is saying anything (that is, they said that they were not saying anything).
The headline should read Teg ran a 3:38, that is more accurate.
I think solinskys 1500 PR is around 3:36 mid
