#2 is also an 11th grader!

1:44.9 is the american junior record held by jim ryun and 1:42 is the world junior record held by kaki

Any predictions for sub 1:46 next year? This kid looks nasty.

The kid improved almost 3 seconds in weeks. I expect even more next year...probably 142.3 to 143.1.

the leaders came through around 52 mid but he wasn't in the front of the pack. Made a huge move with 250 to go and ran away from the field. Sadly enough, the delaware state kid slowed at the line and got nipped, losing out on a spot on the world junior team by .02. Great race!

Jim Ryun ran his 144.9 on cinder (dirt). He also ran a 3:55 as a prep runner and 8:45. He ran 3:51 as a 20 year old. Amazing.

Actually the average letsrun poster is completely brainwashed and believes that no African would ever use drugs.
