not all drugs make you bigger. some make you able to recovery faster and train more. think about distance runners taking drugs - are any of them big?

As for someone running fast at 16. Please. There are tons of highschool age guys using steroids. People start that crap as early as 14 on their own when they hit HS and someone convinces them it will make them better. People seem to have this squeeky clean feeling about anyone in HS....do you not remember what people were like in hs!?

Ok for "drugs" I basically meant steroids. But on the training front most serious athletes, epsecially distance runners, tend towards overtraining and injury anyway. Training more, and by more I mean a whole shitload more, does not necessarily make you better either.
I realise that there is very little chance that Crawford hasn't done steroids in the past, I've always suspected him of taking drugs as a football player and then as on of Grahams athletes. He was just of of the sprinters that has been quoted so far on Bolts WR so that why I mentioned it as part of a general atmoshpere of good sportmanship among sprinters at the moment.

Of course they are not very helpful. That is why so few fast sprinters have ever been connected to drugs.
I don't know whether Bolt is clean. But imagine you are the best in the world in an event in which everyone seems to be dirty. If you are clean, wouldn't you be shouting it off the roof tops? Wouldn't you be volunteering your blood at every corner? I have no reason to suspect Bolt of cheating (other than his time, which isn't fair), but I just don't hear him shouting loud enough.

Some people say but so and so can't afford drugs in those countries...people who say that just don't understand. Drugs are huge in poor countries. Aside from the fact the prices are just cheaper, you will have dealers sometimes just giving them to certain people with the hopes of getting big dividends if the person becomes great. Steroid dealers pray on those in the spotlight at young ages when they don't know better. It also helps their sales, when they say so and so is using them. It's underground advertising. So where are you from? How do you know this? Are there any articles about this? ie. something along the lines of "Steroid abuse in Jamaican High Schools"?
Unfortunately, there is every reason to suspect that Bolt may be dirty. It's not his fault but he's playing in dirty water.
My opinion: IAAF should require a frozen blood sample for a WR to be ratified that can be tested at any future date. In fact, Bolt should insist this be done to honor the sport and his accomplishments. He can keep his own sample if he wants to contest future results. It seems the solution here is really not rocket science.

He has only run under 10 seconds twice in his career, don't know how many times he has run the 100 before this year but when you have a break through like this it is going to make you wonder how. If he has been on steroids since high school I doubt he would just break through now

If a 13-14 year old can get them in my town, it's pretty easy to believe someone of the same age could get them in a country like Jamaica. Anyone remember the stories of kids shooting up at the tracks in Morrocco?

Who are you to say how fast someone can improve. Most of the improvement has come from his start, his speed maintainence has always been awesome.
So what's Jamaica like then? You don't know anything. It's obvious that all the American posters can't handle that a Jamaican sprinter is the best at the moment.
