Seriously, his 4th mile was 4:52? That's not going with your feelings, that's just being stupid.

4:23, 4:24, 4:31, 4:52...

obviously he thought he was feeling good enough to challenge the world record, and he ended up falling over a minute short. Imagine what times this guy could run if he were intelligent.

And he still thinks he ran the course well? He ran faster than all but 3 guys, but that's talent, not race strategy. He died badly, and he ran the course terribly.

The fourth mile is by far the most diffciult on the course. Big hills.

I've run sub 30 on the course and the 4th mile sucks. When I ran mid 29 I dropped a big old 5:05 that mile.

Okay, that's explains a lot. Still went out far too hard. In my opinion, he definitely could have broken the record if he'd run smarter.
