There are and least one billion diets, theories, methods etc. to lose weight and they ALL WORK! The question is which one is SUSTAINABLE? His diet may work great for him but many people will find it boring! As I have said 80% is the ONLY sustainable number. So I find that we should eat 80% "healthy" and the other 20% WHATEVER YOU WANT! That is a diet that is sustainable!

Bakken also was peddling a wild marathon training plan a few years ago on RWOL. I emailed him a couple times and he gave me a free copy of it.

I didn't try it nor did I know anyone who did. He not a crackpot or anything, but he does have some ideas and isn't afraid to experiement.

None of those things supports that he knows anything about diet or nutrition, and medical drugs are not food.

if it works great for one guy and he has no problem stinking to it, isn't it technically sustainable? and those that can't sustain are just weak-willed, put themselves into a position to fail, make excuses about why they can't stick to it, etc?

Moron. This is Bakkens recipe for weight LOSS! Its not what he recommend you eat for the rest of your life.

Bakken lost several kgs in the months before he started competiting, that was due to weight LOSS. This way is what worked for him. Its pretty simple and nothing revolutionary, but it works.
